This Guilderland home had some raised beds that were not edged or enclosed. There was nothing to separate the lawn from creeping into the flowers and nothing keeping the mulch and dirt from creeping out.
There were also no real outdoor accommodations to enjoy the back yard that so much work had gone into. The simple curves of the retaining wall block created a finished look with the flower beds and the stone caps made a firm flat surface, which made ideal seating. The small paver patio allowed the owner to set a picnic table and entertain guests comfortably. Plus the mulch never wandered out of the beds again.
